چکیده
In this paper, an effective nonstationary boundary estimation scheme in EIT is presented based on the interacting multiple model (IMM) algorithm. The inverse problem is treated as a stochastic nonlinear state estimation problem with the time-varying boundary (state) being estimated on-line with the aid of the IMM algorithm. In the design of the IMM algorithm multiple models with different process noise covariances are incorporated to reduce the modeling uncertainty. Simulations are provided to illustrate the proposed algorithm.

Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Inverse Problems in Engineering: Theory and Practice, Cambridge, UK, 11-15th July 2005 INVERSE MEASUREMENT OF THERMAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING A TRANSIENT TEMPERATURE HISTORY
Abstract A non-iterative approach based on adjoint formulation of conduction heat transfer is proposed to identify the thermal boundary conditions from a transient temperature history measured in a solid body. Using a numerical solution of the adjoint problem, which can be regarded as a numerical Green’s function, the temperature at the measuring point can be evaluated under arbitrary thermal b...

Abstract – A model based, non-linear reconstruction for Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) is considered as an inverse problem to find the spatial distributed permittivities in a pipe. In practice measurements are performed with a limited number of electrodes and multiple independent measurements are necessary to get information about the whole interior. In this paper the superposition of ...

This paper discusses an inverse solution consisting of the boundary condition estimation and the phase change front identification in continuous casting process. The solution procedure utilizes sensitivity coefficients and temperature measurements inside the solid phase. The algorithms proposed make use of the Boundary Element Method (BEM) in both 2D and 3D case. With the purpose of limiting a ...
